Reijmyre Glasbruk gurndades 1810 av jägmästare Johan Jacob Graver och friherre Mattias Alexander von Unger Sternberg. Glasbruket anlades i Rejmyra, som orten hette då. Sverige hade året innan avträtt Finland, 1809, och därmed mist de finska glasbruken, vilket medförde att glas i Sverige blev en bristvara.
